January 23, 2021

Here we are at the 4th weekend in January, and my last entry on the BOR blog.  I haven't found anyone to take over the blog, or use it for another running group.

Last weekend everyone headed out to the North Side, from Wolf's to get some hills in.  Mom O Six, found another marathon to race in Sugarland, Texas, Sarah and Crystal, found a 4 hour Freeze in Indy.

This weekend, Run Walk 812 is running from Wesselmans Park, and if anyone wants to add about 7 miles to get a longer run, you can start from the Downtown Y and get about 3.5 miles, so start knowing your pace, and leave to allow the time to get it in.  Shari has 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 mile routes.  The Loop Group will start at Donut Bank on 41 and Lincoln for their loops.

Still not sure of what is going on in local racing, so, keep an eye on the sites below.  They will always have the up to date information about their races.

They will have all of the winter layering and cold weather gear you might need. With the earlier darkness, get your illumination gear, so everyone can see you coming while running the streets!

January 16, 2021

Here we are at the second weekend of January, and the weather is pretty mixed.  It can't make up it's mind if it wants to be cold or warm.  It's a good mix, but hard to prepare for.  Last weekend, the group met up across from Yoga 101, with a good range of mileage options.  Hope everyone found one to get their desired mileage.

I am still looking for someone to take over the blog, and make it anything for runners that you want.  Reply back by PM or on the Facebook page.  Next weekend will be my final blog.

This weekend Run Walk 812 will meet up at Wolf's Barbeque lower parking lot on First Avenue at 7 am.  Shari will have routes ranging from 3 to 7 and maybe a 9 by then.  The Loop Group will be meeting up at the State Hospital near the Frisbee Golf course in the middle of the grounds.

In local racing, some possible race dates are coming out for the future, but things are still up in the air, so check the sites below to confirm the races.

Enjoy your run, and As always, be courteous and thoughtful to the drivers while running the streets!

January 9, 2021

Here we are in the second weekend of January, and it looks like lots of the things we hoped to escape from 2020 followed us into the New Year, and then even worse happened.  Hope everyone found their love for hills last weekend, and made the best of them.  Remember, hills are a runners friend!

This weekend, it's back to Run Walk 812 meeting across from Yoga 101, park across the street or not in their parking lot, and meet by Manna at 7 am.  Shari will have 4, 6.5, 7, 8 and 9 mile routes.  If anyone is looking for longer, Start at the Y downtown, and it's about 7 more miles out and back, so time it accordingly.  The Loop Group will start their loops from the downtown Y at 7 am.

Local races are still up in the air, so check the websites below to see when one is available, or virtual races.
