Saturday, March 21st

Despite the thawed snow and rain making the trails a no go in Grand Rivers, LBL went on, and  on, and on, and mostly up it seemed. The BOR claimed a lot of hardware and a lot of very impressive runs, Congrats to everyone who ran this tough course, we had top finishers in the women's races in the marathon and 50 miler, and first time ultra runs on the male side, very motivational to watch! Congrats to everyone who took part in the Run O'Luck on Saturday and the Paddie's Run on Sunday, looked like some good times and fun was had by all.

Options this week include a 3.5 mile run from Y at 6:30 am out to Toast (Helfrich Golf Course Clubhouse) to meet up with the River Run Training group at 7:00am for 7 miles then back 3.5 for 14.0 total or you can cut short if needed, or below is a Westside 16, 14 or 12 if you would rather. Toast will have a breakfast brunch after the run and as always River Run Giveaways!
.

See You Saturday!

Saturday, March 14th

Congrats to those who took on Bound the Mound last Saturday, on what I hope was the last of the real cold mornings.

Good Luck this weekend to everyone heading south for the Land between the Lakes run, whatever that will be, trail, road gravel, I give! And also to everyone staying in town for the Run O' Luck 7k Saturday and the Ri Ra's Paddie's Day Run on Sunday!

Below is a Westside 16 mile route for those sticking around, should be able to cut out the backside easily if needed. Enjoy the morning and enjoy not jumping over snow piles and dodging icy patches.

See you Next Saturday!

A Note from Martha:

Dear Running Friends,

It never seems to amaze me how The Band of Runners is truly a band.  In times of crisis we come together and support each other.  I am so blessed to be part of this wonderful group.

Thanks to all of you who took the time out of their day to be with me at my brothers funeral.  We expect that our parents will pass at some point in our lives but I thought my brothers and sister would be there forever.  It was heart warming to have my friends close by.

The silk flowers are beyond the most beautiful arrangement I have seen.  I think of my brother and my running friends each time that  look at it.  I appreciate you being there for me.

Love always,
Martha
