Saturday, July 9th

Saturday morning was about as good as it gets for summer running, and a great way to kick off the month of July. Jump Start finished with another big crowd and Team 13 begins it's first week of training this week.

And then came the rain.....July 4th was a soaker of a morning, so much so that a swim event was added to the Annual Walk/Run/Ride party hosted by Charlie and Linda Anslinger, Congrats to those who stuck it out and showed up for whatever distance and the great food.

Congrats to everyone who took part in the Patriot Race at Garvin Park and those who made the trek to Sebree KY for the 4th of July run and the Merril's Mile, we had some first timers, some age group winners and an overall winner, Congrats Ellen Van Royen on the first place female finish!

Good Luck to everyone taking the Arena Challenge this Saturday morning, this is always a tough event, and speaking of tough the next leg of the Run Under the Stars in Corydon Saturday night!

Below is a 16 miler towards the East with a 12 mile cut back as well, If you are wanting to head back for Team 13, an option would be to take a right as soon as you cross Hwy 41 onto the paved trail which will lead you to the pedestrian bridge over the Lloyd and to Walnut street, right onto Walnut back to MLK and to the YMCA for a little over 4 miles, Team 13 will be running 3 miles at 7:00am, Active Chiropractic will be available for all your aches and pains following the run.

See you Saturday!

Saturday, June 25th

Congrats to everyone that braved the heat and ran the Laufenfest 5k and the Street Strut 5k on Saturday morning and the Beer Run Saturday afternoon, judging by the trash cans along Main Street that were full of Coors Light cans it was a major success, if you missed out your next shot is October when the Beer Run moves to Franklin Street.

You have to drive a little to get the racing in this weekend, but Good Luck to any heading to Celestine IN for the Celestine Street Fest 5/10k, the Take Down Leukemia 5k in Rockport and the Zombie 5k in Princeton.

Below is an Eastside Run for Saturday morning, cut or add as needed, don't forget the 6:00am start time and be sure to check out the Team 13 Open House when you get back to the Y, the Jump Start group has been huge this year and I expect big numbers for Team 13 as well, I will start incorporating the route as best I can in the weeks to come.

See you Saturday!
