Saturday, July 23rd

Congrats this week to those who ran the Indiana Donor 5k and to those who finished up the second week of Team 13 training on what was a very warm Saturday morning, and Congrats to Kevin Gerteisen on his 314 mile journey Vol State Run (more info next week, details still coming in).

Good Luck this weekend to those doing the Feather & Fur 5k at Mesker Zoo and the Wag Walk or Run 5k in Henderson, and to those running the 8 Hour Dream in Indianapolis.

.....and Good Luck to the BO(ee)R Relay Team Friday night in the SWIRCA Brew Mile Run not to late to put together Team 2 or make a solo run at it.

This week there are a couple of options, Team 13 takes off from Ultimate Fit at 7:00 for 5 miles! I have included a 5 mile route from the YMCA heading out around 6:00am,, Walnut/Vann/Washington/Green River to Ultimate Fit, around 5 miles, return to the Y after Team 13 for 15 miles total, or there is a 14/12 mile option below. Comment or keep an  eye on Facebook and Twitter for updates and car pool options for a ride back downtown if you don't need the return mileage.

See you Saturday!

Saturday, July 17th

Congrats to those who took the Arena Challenge Saturday morning at the Ford Center, and to everyone who made the trip to Corydon and took part in the latest Run Under the Stars Saturday night/Sunday morning, especially our own Cathy Downes who picked up second place female and 4th place overall with 58.5 miles, keep up the Happy Pace!

Congrats as well to those who hit the road to the North and ran the Women's Trail Run at Eagle Creek Park in Indy and the Triatheletes on the Half Ironman finish in Muncie.

With the temperature's lately it never hurts to brush up on your hydration knowledge - take the quiz and see where you stand.

Good Luck to those running the Indiana Donor 5k, and to Kevin Gerteisen heading out for the Vol State 314 Mile Run!

This week I have posted a 12 miler on the Westside, with a few hills, as with last week you should be able to head back with relative ease to join up with Team 13 at 7:00am, which will be leaving from the Courthouse again this week for 4 miles.

See you Saturday!

Saturday, July 9th

Saturday morning was about as good as it gets for summer running, and a great way to kick off the month of July. Jump Start finished with another big crowd and Team 13 begins it's first week of training this week.

And then came the rain.....July 4th was a soaker of a morning, so much so that a swim event was added to the Annual Walk/Run/Ride party hosted by Charlie and Linda Anslinger, Congrats to those who stuck it out and showed up for whatever distance and the great food.

Congrats to everyone who took part in the Patriot Race at Garvin Park and those who made the trek to Sebree KY for the 4th of July run and the Merril's Mile, we had some first timers, some age group winners and an overall winner, Congrats Ellen Van Royen on the first place female finish!

Good Luck to everyone taking the Arena Challenge this Saturday morning, this is always a tough event, and speaking of tough the next leg of the Run Under the Stars in Corydon Saturday night!

Below is a 16 miler towards the East with a 12 mile cut back as well, If you are wanting to head back for Team 13, an option would be to take a right as soon as you cross Hwy 41 onto the paved trail which will lead you to the pedestrian bridge over the Lloyd and to Walnut street, right onto Walnut back to MLK and to the YMCA for a little over 4 miles, Team 13 will be running 3 miles at 7:00am, Active Chiropractic will be available for all your aches and pains following the run.

See you Saturday!
