Saturday, June 4th

A big Memorial Race Weekend, Congrats to those who ran the hilly Victoria 5k in Newburgh and the Bay Shore Marathon in Traverse City on Saturday and the Ottawa Marathon on Sunday on the road.

And then there was the trail....now I haven't heard the whole story yet but I believe a search and run party was dispatched at some point in New Harmony, Congrats to everyone who ran the half and full marathon as well as the little known Ultra option (Lori & Maria).

Third Day's a Charm, Congrats to everyone who ran the two Memorial Day runs on Monday morning, looked like a lot of hardware and ammo was taken home!

Good Luck to everyone hitting the trails this week at the Howl at the Moon Night Trail run Friday and the Get Dirty Mud Fun Saturday, and on the road in St. Wendel for the Grillin & Chillin 5k and the Sunburst Marathon in South Bend....Have a great run!

Below is a 16 mile North/West run for Saturday morning, easily trimmed if needed as we head back towards Downtown before heading out West.

Saturday, May 28th

It was hard to ask for much better conditions for the 2016 River Run and it showed in the great times posted by everyone. So great to see such a large group of runners and walkers getting together to make the trek across the bridge, smiles and high fives were a common theme in the finish area, for some it's the longest they have ever run and others it was a warm up or part of a training run for a bigger race ahead.  Whatever the case, Congratulations to everyone!

The always entertaining recap show on Channel 44 was even more enjoyable this year due to the BOR's own Jen Metcalf lending her commentary skills to the broadcast, still available for viewing online. Great job Jen!

Of course the River Run wasn't the  only game this weekend, Congrats to those who went further South than Henderson for the Horse Capital Marathon in Lexington, KY and the triple eventers on the Half Ironman in Chattanooga.

Now for some, one race is never enough, Congrats to those who finished the River Run and then headed South to Oak Ridge, TN for the Run Under the Stars endurance race Saturday night, and Congrats to our own Cathy D. on her 50th marathon/ultra and the women's win!

Lots of local racing action this weekend, Good Luck to everyone teeing it up, or toeing it up for the Run Victoria 5k, those running the Hog Roast & Poker Run 5k and everyone hitting the trails for the Harmonie Trail Runs. Rest up Sunday for Monday's Memorial Day madness with the Evansville Memorial Day 5k and the Red Hawks Memorial Day 5k, have a great run!

To continue the bridge theme for the month of May, we will head East Saturday morning, below is a 16 mile route with options a plenty to cut short and head back. Have a Great Memorial Day!

See you Saturday!
