Saturday, July 15th


It was a Ladies Weekend, with a sweep of RUTS Corydon and completion of Spartan Sprint Race in Lawrenceburg IN, Congrats to all the finishers.











Still time to get registered for Team 13, If you already registered online or at either YMCA location, this will be your time to pick up your shirt and schedule. We will continue doing registration through the first couple of weeks of training starting at 5:00. Those dates will include:


July 11 outside the Downtown YMCA
July 13 outside the Downtown YMCA
July 18 (first day of training) at Wesselman Park
July 20 at Vectren (Vine and 2nd street for parking)

Best of Luck to everyone running the Beer Mile Saturday night. In case you didn't know, this official Beer Mile will consist of a one mile run while you drink four beers. On Saturday July 15, runners will gather at Bosse Field Parking Lot for the race. The race will begin with a 12 ounce beer that must be consumed in the "Chug Zone" before the runner can begin their lap. Four Laps, four beers!

Throwing up requires an extra lap, but no worries you don't have to drink an extra beer!

Lots of activities planned for lots of fun, even if your not running, come on out and chug, I mean cheer others on!

-Fun Run

- Not a serious runner? This race is for you! Run, walk, skip, do whatever you need to do to finish the race.

-Competitive Run

- This race is for the serious runners. To comply with official Beer Mile Rules of a 5% ABV, ALL runners will drink Coors Banquet.

-Relay Races

- Groups of four people each drinking one beer and running a quarter mile )one lap). Each team can choose between Coors Light or Coors Banquet for the whole team.

Costumes are ENCOURAGED!!!!!

Registration begins at 5pm on Saturday and the races start at 6!

$25 for Individuals (Competitive and Fun Run)

$60 for a team of 4 for the Relay!

-Includes the Race, 4 beers, and a t-shirt (or 4 if it is the Relay), and a Brewfest Glass (or 4 for the Relay admission)

Saturday, July 8th


The 4th of July provided some good mid-week racing action and a great time to get together with friends and family for a run, walk or ride. Congrats to everyone who ran the Patriots Run in Evansville on the 4th, looked like another big crowd this year and a big Thank You to Charlie and Linda Anslinger for hosting the 10th Annual Walk/Run/Ride and providing a dry morning!














Team 13 Open House is right around the corner!

Thank you for your past participation in Jump Start and Team 13. We hope you are getting geared up for another great training season! Our Open House will be this Saturday at the Downtown YMCA from 7am to 9am. We will accept registrations and give out shirts and packets with schedules. We will have sponsors Pro Rehab and Ultimate Fit on hand to answer questions as well as a huge number of our fantastic volunteers.

The 2017 SWIRCA BrewMile will be on Saturday, July 15th at Historic Bosse Field Parking Lot. This event modeled after the nation’s official “Beer Mile” consists of a one mile race while consuming four beers along the way. Chug, run, repeat. Food trucks and a beer garden will be available for spectators.

Saturday, July 1st


Congrats this week to everyone who took part in the YMCA Spirit, Mind & Body Triathlon/Duathlon Saturday morning at Scales Lake, looked like a lot of trophies were take home and a lot of smiling faces!
