Saturday, October 4th
First weekend of October, that can only mean one thing, well maybe a few things. Pumpkin Spice cake donuts, Munchie Maps and the Evansville Half Marathon! A new course this year which will present new challenges for all those running, but there is still not a better feeling than running "your" town, "your" neighborhoods, "your" streets! So come race day visit with your friends and fellow runners at the start line, take advantage of the familiarity of the course, tell your family and friends to make the effort and line that wall along the greenway, take pride in helping someone else reach a PR, maybe grab one for yourself, make the most of the morning!
Have a great run everyone.
What a weekend in racing this past week, great runs here and abroad. Congrats to those who took part in the Pumpkin Run, Otters Race, Wear the Cape, Wag/Walk and Race for the Cure. Congrats also to first time marathoners in Columbus and not so first timers in Berlin! Well done everyone.
Obvious Good Lucks to everyone running and pacing the half here at home, as well as the rest of the crew heading west to Utah, safe travels this week. Not posting an alternate route this week, if your not running the half go cheer, posting early and cutting it short this week...got a plane to catch.
Have a good week, rest up, see you next Saturday!
