We're at the second weekend in June, and this week, we got a little break in the weather.  The cool less humid weather the last couple of days is something I can handle for the summer!  Last weekend, we hit the trails of the Greenway for some hot humid miles.  Even though I didn't run with the group this past week, the Greenway and it's rolling hills are really a great place to train!  Many are still logging miles on a virtual race or other, to keep up with their training.  Congrats to those that have accomplished their goals!

This weekend the BOR group will start at the usual place, the Downtown Y, at 6:20 am, and run out to meet up with Run Walk 812 at Yoga 101.  Shari and her group will meet and park across the street from 101, at 7 am.  Their core run is 8 miles, and the to and from the Y is right at 7 miles.  This will make it a 15 mile run.  Shari will have shorter, 4 mile route available.

In racing, keep up with the virtual races, as many are still open to join and have plenty of time to get those miles in.  I have heard through the grapevine that the Y series races leading up to the Evansville Half Marathon are a go, with virtual options available.  Go to the Y Half Marathon site to get signed up early!

Curt, Cindi, and the Group at Ultimate Fit are open for those needing new shoes or equipment, so go in and check out the showroom.  For logging all those miles, look to them for a pretty full line of hydration equipment as the weather heats up!
