It was a Monumental weekend, Congratulations to most of the tri-state that ran the Monumental Marathon and Half Marathon in Indianapolis on Saturday, lots of first timer’s PR’s were scooped up on what looked to be a great morning for a run. Congrats as well to those who ran the Savannah Half Marathon and the Chilly Hilly 5k in Henderson Saturday and those who ran the New York Marathon, Marshall Marathon, Bowling Green Marathon, Harmonie Trail Full/Half and Stache Dash on Sunday…a full weekend!
It’s officially Turkey Trot Season, best of Luck to everyone running the Drumstick Dash in Evansville and the Turkey Trot 5k in Illinois on Saturday. Packet Pick-Up at Ultimate Fit Friday!
7th Annual 5Kan Food Drive
Saturday, November 18th will be our 7th Annual 5Kan Food Drive and our third year as a multi group effort, we will start and finish at Ultimate Fit parking lot, as always there is No Entry Fee, No T-shirt, No Bib, No Chip Timing, in fact we usually do not even have a 5K distance, but we do give everyone a chance to brighten the Holidays for a few families.
Once again, this year we will be sending all donations to the Ozanam Family Shelter, this is our 6th year working with the Ozanam shelter, one of the only shelters that excepts whole families instead of separating them in what is already a difficult time in their lives. A representative from the shelter will be on site the morning of the 18th to collect and deliver the donations.
