Here we are in the middle of June, and the weather has been pretty amazing.  The rain has been tolerable, and the lower than normal temps are making running bearable.  The past weekend we had a couple of races locally, and another one of those ultra races in Paducah.  Everybody seemed to have a good time, even with the high humidity.  Happy Pace, Big Sexy, Chipmunk, Little Buddy, Slim, Dave Nichols, and Double D were some of those crazy ones pushing those long miles in the 10 hour night run.  We also want to congratulate our running friends from the SITT group for their finishes in the Louisville Tri over the weekend.

This weekend training runs will go west and north.  Run Walk 812, will go west for a 5.5 mile add on to Jump-Starts 2.5 miles beginning at 7am, on the Old Courthouse steps.  BOR will also be going west beginning at 6 am from the Y.  The Loop group will start their loops at 7am, from the lower parking lot by the Central High tennis courts.

The Blazin Glazin race is the only race in town this weekend, and if you didn't get signed up, I'll eat a donut for you, since it is already a sold out race.  The racing season cools off as the temperatures heat up.

As always, be courteous and thoughtful to the drivers, while running the streets!
