It's time to pull out the Red, White & Blue and put away the Pokemon Go for a couple of weeks, that's right, Opening Ceremonies are upon us! Women's Marathon on Sunday the 14th and the Men's on the 21st...viewing party??
Congrats to everyone who ran the Band on the Run, the Watermelon Run, Night Flight and the first timer and many timer in the San Francisco Half Marathon as well s everyone who finished up another week of Team 13 Training with a hot and hilly run at Central last Saturday!
Good Luck this week to everyone that is kicking off the YMCA series with the first leg, the 5/10K on Saturday morning as well as those kicking off the Volksfest at the Brat Trot, and those running the Bailey George Memorial 5K in Vincennes, the Sweatin' Santa 5K in Jasper and the Jimmy Brigance 4 Miler in Owensboro....busy weekend for racing!
For anyone not racing this weekend or wanting some pre-race miles, below is a 12 mile route on the Westside for your running pleasure, as always plenty of opportunities to cut it short as needed.
