Saturday, October 8th

Cooler temps, the changing colors on the leaves and the millions of political yard signs can only mean one thing, once again it's decision time......Pronto Pup or Corn Dog?

What a morning! The weather seemed right and several took advantage of it posting PR's and age group awards at the Evansville Half Marathon on Saturday. Congrats to all on a great run and a great finish to the series, lots of top placings once again, and as always Jeff Hayden put together a top notch group of pacers to bring several home to a new PR or a first time finish, and of course, the Team 13 volunteers all deserve huge round of applause for the hours they put in to help so many reach a goal or in some cases change their lives . Great job everyone!

Congrats also to one of our many out of town BOR's, Dave Nichols who hit the trails in Richmond KY for the Cloudsplitter 50K, Great run Dave!

The first of the Big Fall Marathons, and one of my favorites, the Chicago Marathon is this weekend, I always feel that this one really starts the marathon season off, Good Luck to everyone heading to the windy city Sunday.

Good Luck also to those doing the Zombie 5k in Huntingburg and the Chandler Day 8k Saturday.

It's Tri time again, Good Luck to everyone heading over for Ironman Louisville Sunday, should be another exciting Sunday following along online or in person!

Okay, back to training, for whatever it is you have coming up, below is a 12 miler, with an early trip through the Fall Festival, and an option to continue on for a 16 miler, or adjust as needed, 6:00 am start.

See you Saturday!

If you are unfamiliar, I PickHere.com is an online local marketplace where you can pre-order goods made or grown locally and pick up at a predetermined location.  Now the good news, starting October 13th the Downtown YMCA will become an iPickHere location between the hours of 3:30-6:30pm every Thursday at the Sixth Street Gym/Rotary entrance.

Start Pickin..
