Here we are almost half way through the year! After a cool week last week, the humidity is really starting to drive the comfort levels to the high side. There were a couple of races last weekend, with the Blazin Glazin 5K at Garvin park, and one of our own, Chastity Hertel, running a couple of the Marathons in the Jackals series this week. Congratulations to all that had fun, and To Chastity for getting a third over all in Mondays marathon race.
This weekend BOR training will be a mix of Westward, and Downtown to 41 and back starting t the Y at 6:00 am, and will need someone to volunteer to put a large water stop at Wabash between Columbia and Franklin, or 41 at Bellemeade. I will get the one that doesn't get picked up. The Wabash spot will cover our group and the Run Walk 812 combined group. There will also be a 26 mile Big Sexy route posted in the morning, for those wanting a long run. Run Walk 812 will add a West route to the Jump-Start route starting at 7:00 am. The Loop Group will start their loops at Donut Bank on 41 and Lincoln at 7:00 am.
The only race this weekend is, Laufenfest, 5k and Lil Dutch Run in Haubstadt. If you want to run it, get signed up early or get there early, race day and get entered.
As always, be courteous and thoughtful to the drivers, while running the streets!
