The second weekend of August, and with a one evening reprieve from the heat this week, Tuesdays run was almost enjoyable.  The Y, 5K / 10K was not too bad this past Saturday, as the weather was just a little cooler than some of the past years.  Everyone seemed to have a good time running this race, even the new runners from Team 13.  The Brat Trot, had a good run also, and beer flowed after the race.  There were also a few that ran the Owensville Watermelon Run, and took home a melon.  What a prize!  A couple of the group went and ran the Eagle Creek Trail Marathon in Indianapolis.  I'm sure everyone had fun!

This weekend we will continue to follow Team 13 and have 6 and 7.5 add on to the Team 13, 7 mile run from Vectren.  Run Walk 812 is staying with Team 13 for the 7 miles.  The Loop Group will continue to follow the summer routes which meets at St. Paul's Church on the West side.

If you want a race this weekend, There is the MentorKids Kentucky Rugged Race 5K at Diamond Lake the 10th at 6 am, by Rise up and Run.  To the Finish has races Friday and Saturday this weekend, with Fox on the Run 5K run/walk, at the Waterfront in Downtown Henderson on the 9th at 7 am, and Cisne Reunion 5k Run/Walk at the Towne Square, the 10th at 8 am.  Whether training or racing, have a great weekend!
