Saturday, December 15th

It has not been an easy decision, but as of January 1st I will be stepping away from the Band of Runners blog, I never thought that what started in May of 2010 would continue as long as it has, with some 56 subscribers and just over 151,300 page views.

These stats do not include the Facebook Group ‘Band of Runners’  and the 170 members, which will remain, I have removed the approval needed from posting so anyone wanting to post a weekly route after the 1st should be able to do so, also I am able to set up another author for the blog site if anyone is interested in taking over and I encourage everyone to continue to share your pictures and running accomplishments on the Facebook group.

Wednesdays will not be the same, scrambling to get things added to publish the blog, and I will miss gathering the photos and weekly events. There were Saturdays that I myself disliked the choice of route and/or maybe the weather, but I have certainly loved having the opportunity to do this and the chance to run with everyone and I thank you for your part of the journey.

I hope as a group we have been able to be some sort of resource to the running/walking community over the years and most of all I hope this continues in some way.

On to the news..Big Congrats to everyone who ran the Reindeer Relay, Reindeer Run and Jigle Bell Run, as well as those traveling for the Rocket City Marathon and Rehobeth Beach Marathon in Delaware!
