It was a very exciting Sunday this week in both running and triathlon action! Congrats to one of the newest to the group Lauren Minor on the overall female win in the Race for a Cure 5k and to Michelle L. on the pace work and Kendra and Kevin on another marathon finish at the Quad Cities Marathon.
Not to be left out was the big group who ran the Milwaukee Mini on Saturday, Great Run and it looked a Great weekend!
This was a huge weekend for the Tri's among us, first up, the one I failed to mention last week, the Augusta Half Ironman. Congratulations to Dave, Michelle W. and Chelsie on a great race!
Then it was Tennessee's turn in the Chattanooga Ironman, Congratulations to Kara , Matt, Steve and the rest of the SITT group on the Ironman finish! Both of these events still continue to amaze and impress me, the amount of training and time that it takes is unbelievable and they are very inspiring to witness. If you have not seen this take place in person you have the opportunity October 11th in Louisville to cheer on several of the BOR.
Big Saturday this week, one of Evansville's premier and biggest running events, as well as the final leg in the YMCA Series. Good luck to everyone running, walking and pacing! Should be a great morning.

I am new to the blogs/group and was hoping to start running with the group on sat. mornings. Could you give me an idea of the pace most of the group is doing? Just want to make sure I can keep up!
ReplyDeleteThere's a wide variety of paces that are run. I'd say it ranges from 7:00 - 11:00 min/mile pace with the bulk of people running in the 8:30 - 10:00 range.
