Saturday, June 24th

It was a Big race day in Haubstadt on Saturday for what is always a very competitive, fast and hot Laufenfest 5k, Congrats to everyone who took part, looked like a lot of age group steins went home again this year, Congrats also to everyone that made the trek to Owensboro for the 10 miler, to the ladies who traveled to Duluth MN for the Grandma’s Marathon and those in Jackson TN all week for the 5 day Jackal Marathon Series!

We didn’t get a medal or a t-shirt but we did have a couple good runs in both Buffalo NY and Niagara Falls ON last week and managed to find every hill in both locations, running proving once again to be the best way to see a new city and another country. Tip #1: If you plan to run across the Rainbow Bridge take your passport, and when the border patrol guard yells to turn around you turn around.

Not much racing action locally this weekend but Best of Luck to those hitting the road. Below is a North/West 12 mile route, cut it short or add on Downtown as needed, just be aware that the Riverfront might be a little dicey with Shrinerfest going on.

See You Saturday!
