Hope everyone has a wonderful and Exciting 4th of July!  Last weekend I missed the Marengo Cave race, so hope everyone had fun with that cool race, and the other races in Illinois.  I have got to try the cave run next year, the cool underground is probably the best place for me to run this time of year!  In other races Miki and Cathy represented the group near St. Louis at the Dark to Dawn night trail race, and Maria, Lori, Dave and Michelle had fun and good times, running the Mt. Hood Marathon.  Martha and her friends ran the Missoula Marathon too!

This weekend we will be going on a North route again!  Run 812 is adding a 3 or 4 mile route to the Jump-Start route, and the Loop Group is planning a summer starting base at St. Pauls' Church on the Westside.  There will be a mix of hilly or flat loops to give runners all of what they want.

Those seeking a race, there is the Patriot Race on the 4th.  It will begin and end at VFW Post 1114. starting at 8 am.  The only other race this weekend that I saw, was the RUTS ultra or whatever you want night race.  It has a 3,6 and up to 12 hour timed race.  If you are new to this, it would be a good one to check out, with the short hour races to get your feet wet.

As always, be courteous and thoughtful to the drivers, while running the streets!
