Here we are nearing the end of August, and the Saturday morning, and Tuesday evening runs were a breath of cooler but humid air.  It's starting to feel like Fall is coming around the corner, but don't count on it.  We live in Evansville, and hot and humid can last until mid September or longer.  The past weekend, if you weren't training, maybe you were one that ran the Braveheart 5 or 10 K at Angel Mounds, or on the wild side running the Backyard Classic 8 hour Endurance Run in Elizabethtown KY.  Whatever you choice was, hopefully you enjoyed the run!  Congrats to all that raced and hit their goals!

This weekend the Team 13 training goes to Mesker Park where they will meet at the Amphitheater parking lot at 7 am.  The training run is now up to 9 miles, and we will either join them there, or start at the Y for the extra mileage of approximately 7.5 miles, or 16.5 miles total.  If you want less, cut the training run anywhere you prefer in the Team 13 run.  I will bring a water stop at Mesker for anyone running from the Y.  The Loop Group will continue to meet at St. Paul's Church on the West side, at 7 am.

This weekend races include the Tri-State Fitness Kona Ice race, and the To the Finish,  AGS Back to School 5K Dash @ Albion Grade School.  There is also, 48 Hours in the Dome, Milwaukee WI, and Shawnee Hills 100 K, for those Ultra running types.  These are all on Saturday, so look them up if you want to race.  Whatever you plan to do, enjoy your run!

As always, be courteous and thoughtful to the drivers, while running the streets!
